[Bug 672767] [NEW] iTALC Clients Reboot Infinitely (Can't Shutdown) Lucid
Public bug reported:
I've got a lab that I want to put iTALC on and once the client is
installed, the computer cannot shut off. All attempts to shutdown are
met with a reboot. If you send a shut down command from the master both
GUI and command line fail and the client reboots. Even at the client,
trying to shutdown from it's own GUI causes a reboot. I've also got a
cron job on the entire lab, and it fails to shutdown the machines. I've
tried installing from the packages and from source--both cause reboots.
Once I remove the iTALC client, the computer can be shutdown from it's
own GUI. I've tried lucid and maverick. init 0, shutdown -h now--
nothing works. I can't turn off these computers. I tried 1.0.9,
1.0.10, 1.0.11 from package and compiling from source.
Was using iTALC successfully on Jaunty.
** Affects: italc (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
