[Bug 794920] [NEW] gimp + oxygen-gtk in kubuntu = segment fault
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gimp
I'm using kubuntu 11.04 x86_64. I installed gimp from the package
manager. When I find gimp in the menu and click it's icon, gimp appears
in the taskbar for about 15 seconds and then disappears. It shows no
other signs of life. When I open a terminal and run the command "gimp",
I get this text:
gimp:26284): GLib-WARNING **: /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.28.6/./glib/goption.c:2132: ignoring no-arg, optional-arg or filename flags (8) on option of type 0
Segmentation fault
I searched a bit around and found a thread where an arch user was able
to fix a similar issue by changing his theme. (
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57948 ). I'm using KDE, and
I have "oxygen-gtk" set for running gtk apps. My root account is not
using this theme. So, I ran "sudo gimp" in a terminal and gimp starts
up as expected.
