[Bug 850137] [NEW] Starting Calibre freezes whole system

Every time I try to start Calibre (on my fresh oneiric installation) the
window doesn't even show up and the whole system freezes. Everything
gets so slow that I'm unable to do anything, while the mouse still
reacts.
