Message #03367
[Bug 931007] [NEW] ltsp boot screen scumbled by caching mode error message
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu vers 11.10
Kernel Linux 3.0.0-15-generic
Gnome 3.2.1
fat-client gets error-messages:
[sdb] No Caching mode page present
[sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through
in dmesg.log and boot-screen while booting ltsp. Under native
ubuntu(same version) on same client only dmesg shows errors, no messages
scrumbles the boot-screen.
(most probabely the error is thrown because of using a Creative Labs usb
audio sound stick that offers a small fat-partition [for windows-
drivers] that is only readable.) The error has no negative effects so
there shouldn't be the necessity to screw up the boot screen for
"urgent" information.
Package: ltsp-server
Versions:
5.2.16-0ubuntu7 (/var/lib/apt/lists/de.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_oneiric_main_binary-i386_Packages) (/var/lib/dpkg/status)
** Affects: ltsp (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
