[Bug 1015149] [NEW] calibre crashes on content server start when port is taken
Public bug reported:
I use calibre 0.8.38+dfsg-1 on Xubuntu 12.04. The program crashes on
every attempt to start the Content Server when the video player VLC is
already running. This seems to be caused by a competing HTTP server
already listening on the same port as calibre (VLC also creates an HTTP
server that defaults to port 8080). As a workaround, choosing a
different port in calibre’s preferences seems to resolve the issue.
** Affects: calibre (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
