I always thought about tying Telepathy into Elisa / Moovida is the way
to go. You (your family / friends) could make it join a MUC where links
would fly whenever you want to recommend something etc. You could just
as well send a link to your HTPC from your desktop IM etc. Part of it
really reminds of UPnP Controller and MediaRenderer, but in a simpler
manner.

This would call for a complete browser plugin anyway... I know that
being able to 'capture' some media directly from the web could be nice,
but I'm not sold to the idea - I think it would be real difficult to be
done properly and could easily break consistency and experience.

A download manager service supporting torrents - yup. Definitely (no
sarcasm here!).
