I thought so but wanted to ask first as it may be on the way in a
standard way ie. when Debian publishes their 2.4 (I saw it is already in
Sid).

Changes in 2.4 are quite significant compared to 2.2. I think it's more
like a new product that upgrade to 2.2. I guess it would be better then
to provide a separate package than upgrade from 2.2.
