[Bug 1262853] [NEW] Apache2 config file not set up correctly during install
Public bug reported:
I did a clean install of Ubuntu Server 13.10. During the install I
installed OpenSSH and LAMP using the checkbox selections. After the
install completed I ran "apache2 -V" and I proceeded to get a bunch of
config file errors. They are
Config variable ${APACHE_LOCK_DIR} is not defined
Config variable ${APACHE_PID_FILE} is not defined
Config variable ${APACHE_RUN_USER} is not defined
Config variable ${APACHE_LOCK_GROUP} is not defined
Config variable ${APACHE_LOG_DIR} is not defined
AH00526: Syntax error on line 74 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:
Invalid Mutex directory in argument file:${APACHE_LOCK_DIR}
I expected to see no errors when performing the "apache2 -V" command. I
appears that a file that defines these variables is missing.
Note: when installing Ubuntu Server 12.04.3 it installs correctly with
no errors.
** Affects: apache2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
