[Bug 1414525] [NEW] package samba 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.11 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 128

 

Public bug reported:

this is after re-installing mythbuntu v12 (v14 is a severe regression and does not really work), the first run of the update manager fails.
maybe the number of packages to update is too big (something in excess of 400 packages)?
anyway, it fails on samba or some sub-component of samba -- hard to say, as the dialogue box goes blank and the update manager hangs.
