Take a look at this reference guide "Integrating Red Hat Enterprise Linux

I used one of the methods described in it to join Ubuntu machine into AD.
Next thing I faced is restriction of AD users\groups - how and what is the
best practices to limit logon rights only for specific users\groups, how to
configure sudo and etc.

One more thing that I interested in is the userid\groupid - why should I
bother about them, how do they affect and etc.
