That way we can check the
different representations against each other, which will increase
confidence before updating the *.h files after e.g., formatting
changes.

The generated output (.out) files will be compared to the presumably correct
reference which ever way.  We can easily add a test that compares the
different outputs.
True, but then perhaps it will be just as simple to look for *.out in
the top reference folder anyway?
I'm not too fussed, I just like to keep the number of identical files
in the repository at a minimum.

  I think there is some remaining arbitraryness in the optimized
  quadrature code generator. Will file bug later.
