How does it fail? Could you try on trusty which finally should have all
the installer bugs sorted out.

  ipa client on ubuntu 13.04 doesn't work with ipa server on centos/rhel

Bug description:
  Hi,

  running on CentOS/RHEL 6 the stable FreeIPA Server version 3.0.0

  Using an ipa client from 12.04 works as expected.

  Now I am testing enrolling of Raring and Saucy in FreeIPA and this
  fails.

  Client Version is 2.47 (from 3.1.2 pkg) and server version is 2.46
  (from RHEL/CentOS 6 3.0.0 pkg)

  This is no good, because RHEL6/CentOS are the only enterprise distros
  out there, which do have a working freeipa server (I don't want to use
  Fedora in a large enterprise environment ;))

  So, how can we address this, without using unsupported packages from
  elsewhere on CentOS/RHEL or backporting the old freeipa client from
  12.04
