[Bug 1680593] Re: gnome shell integration does not work in Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 beta 2
Without peering more under the hood (which, as my first day in Ubuntu
Gnome, and not really that aware of my options would be an interesting
24 hours :) ) I can't say for sure but the first few entries in that
seem to suggest so.
The extensions don't appear in the Gnome Tweak Tool when I follow the
process:
Find extension (e.g. "KStatusNotifierItem/AppIndicator Support"), click
the toggle to "on", click "install" to the box which appears, close
tweak tool, reopen it.

Title:
gnome shell integration does not work in Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 beta 2
Status in ubuntu-gnome-meta package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Further to lp:#1323734, Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 ships Firefox 52, but this
does not support Gnome Shell Integration, which means adding
extensions fails to run.
I am able to toggle and uninstall Gnome Shell Extensions, but I can't
install new ones in either browser.
