Pickle data format for carbon-cache.

Hey all, I've been hacking away quite a bit with graphite recently and
I've gotten to the point where I think I may see a big performance gain
using the pickle data input format instead of the line based format.
I've not yet found any docs on how to implement this, any pointers?
