Michael Leinartas proposed the following answer:
The dashboard data and the "Saved graphs" in the Composer are stored in
the Database you've configured Graphite to use. In the default install
this is an sqlite database file at /opt/graphite/storage/graphite.db. If
you're using a real database such as MySQL you can back it up as you
would your other databaess
