Restful Apis confirmed that the question is solved:
Turns out that an internal firewall was blocking access to port 2003(The
carbon server), which in turn was preventing the whisper files from
being created and the graphs from rendering. Enabling access to port
2003 solved the issue. Thanks for the response.
