Apache already has many mechanisms to enable authentication.  You should
look into htdigest

for authentication.

I'm sorry you're not an Apache expert, and that you have no idea how to
secure your web server. We try to focus on Graphite specific here on the
Graphite mailing list, any general tech support questions like yours
tend to get the back burner, so to speak.
