My fork of graphite over on github contains a modificiation to the
cactiStyle functions where it accepts an additional argument of either
"si" or "binary" for collapsing counts using the same rules as the
Y-Axis https://github.com/drawks/graphite-web/tree/0.9.x

I'm not certain if it has been merged back into main yet...
