  Ubuntu 16.04.02: Error message "kernel version is not supported" is
  logged during fadump, dump capture will be successful.

  1. Configure fadump.
  2. Trigger crash.

  Canonical,

  Please pick the latest version of makedumpfile (v1.6.1) which
  officially supports 4.8 kernels.
