[Bug 1762427] Re: No feedback when snap installation fails

** Description changed:

- What happened:
+ [Impact]
+ Install / remove operations that fail don't show correctly in GNOME Software. Solution was to fix incorrect logic in snapd API code in GNOME software.

- I tried to install Ora from gnome-software 3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.8. The
- install button showed the initialised progress state, but never updated.
- Dropping to the terminal I could see with snap changes that the task had
- errored (because of a 503 talking to the store).
+ [Test Case]
+ 1. Open GNOME Software
+ 2. Start installing a snap
+ 3. Cancel the operation from the command line (need to wait until install starts, but before it completes):
+ $ snap abort --last=install

- What should happen:
+ Expected result:
+ Install stops and GNOME software show correct state

- The UI should provide some indication that the install was not
- successful.
+ Observed result:
+ Install button still shows, but no progress occurs.
+
+ [Regression Potential]
+ Could create new bugs in async results.
