Sure!

- We are famous enough
- We have GNOME in the name of the project
- tasque and tomboy is in there http://l10n.gnome.org/module/ which are very
similar (ahem..) to us.
- we may attract some developer

What are the cons to this? I can list one:
- bureaucracy to get in
