I think that it should be the job of the window manager to place windows
inteligently if not instructed otherwise. Maybe are we using the wrong
function to open our window ? How is Tomboy handling that ?

Bug description:
When opening multiple tasks from the task browser, or creating multiple new tasks, the windows are opened in the same position each time. This means the user can't immediately see what windows they've just opened.

The ideal solution would be to open new windows slightly down and to the right of an existing window, if there is an existing window in the new location. The behavior of eg. Tomboy a good example.
