I agree, for me it's the way to go.

I'd also propose to circumvent this bug (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtg/+bug/411420) by disabling threading in the
related code for 0.2. I did it on my local branch, and I did not fell
performance issues. Since, as I could understand, we will need to rethink a
bit threading support in GTG in the future, this will eventually be replaced
by something else.
