I added ctrl+f9 to my code-cleanup branch:

In the title it refers to implementing shortcuts for several things, but
I'm a bit confused by the need for "opening task" and "closing task"
since <enter> and <esc> do this already.  Am I missing something?

Anyway, the above branch implements support for ctrl-f9 so maybe this
bug can be closed once this is merged.  If any other accelerators need
added just let me know.
