[Bug 585131] Re: Hamster displays "other" in panel when task is started via the hamster plugin

Hello,

upon looking into this a little deeper I have found that in the
preferences of the hamster plugin you can actually select what it uses
as the title in hamster (maybe I am a morron, but I actually discovered
this after walking through the code...). So I don't know if this really
qualifies as "bug", but I still think it is poor default behaviour to
display "Other" as the default title in hamster and not the tasks title.
I exepected to see the task title and I believe most users would.

thank you
Paul

Status in Getting Things GNOME!: New

Bug description:
When I start a task with the hamster plugin hamster displays "Other" in its panel applet instead of the task name. This happens both when the task is started from the main GTG window as well as from an opened task.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a task and enable hamster plugin
2. Select the task and and click the hamster icon in the toolbar
-or-
2a. Open the task
3a. Click the hamster icon in the task's toolbar

What behaviour is observed:
"hamster" displays "Other" as task name in its panel applet. When you click on hamster panel it says

"Other - Unsorted" <ATag> <AnotherTag>
"Task title as it appeared in GTG"

Expected behaviour:
Hamster should display the same task title as GTG.

Versions:
This is on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64
GTG 0.2.4 (Ubuntu repos)
and Hamster 2.30.0.1
