[Question #238676]: Could you implement caldav sync (vtodo)
New question #238676 on Getting Things GNOME!:
https://answers.launchpad.net/gtg/+question/238676
Let's face it: GTD works less if you don't have instant access to your lists wherever you are.
A smart phone is here the obvious solution for most users.
There are a lot of proprietary syncing services and as can be seen in some branches there are efforts to implement syncing to google tasks.
But the current state of citizen control - aka the spying - suggests that the solution to task syncing should stick to open standards and trusted providers.
please do support task syncing via CalDav
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6352
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2426.txt
some benefits:
- stable syncing api
- an open standard
- vendor independance
- supported by other (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CalDAV)
- encrypted communication
