[Bug 472934] Re: The new GUI can't be minimized in tray

Hi Marcos,

i perfectly understand the vulnerability issue behind (although i didn't
consider it before) but in terms of usability it is a clear drawback.
What do you think about traying the application but making changes to
the ruleset just after the inputting the sudo password.

The running state shall be identified by the trayicon but clicking on
that requires the sudo password in the first step. Than the usability as
well as the vulnerability issue should be solved, at least to me ?

Kind regards

Frederik

Status in GUI for ufw: New

Bug description:
In the new version (9.10.4) I see very few options, and moreover I can't find the "start minimized in tray" one, that I need most.
I used to start the old GUI with this autostart script:

gksudo --preserve-env --description /usr/share/applications/gufw.desktop "/usr/share/gufw/gufw.py --quiet"

assuming that "--quiet" would be the working option, before.

Now, how can I do to start the GUI minimized in tray?
