Message #01956
[Bug 888786] [NEW] Gwibber new message functionality sends Xorg CPU usage to 100%
Public bug reported:
How to reproduce:
- Run top in a terminal.
- Open gwibber.
- Click on the + icon to post a new message
- top will show that Xorg is using 100% of CPU.
- press escape to cancel posting the message
- top will show that Xorg is back to 1% CPU or less.
Environment:
Ubuntu oneiric 64 bit clean install.
Graphic card is an AMD FirePro V5900, running Catalyst driver 11.8, and
I have the AMD "Unsupported hardware" watermark in the corner (but I
have using this setup for a few weeks with no other problems and smooth
desktop performance)
** Affects: gwibber
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
