Public bug reported:

In 12.10., the indicator turns blue every X minutes (on every Gwibber
update) and disregards the settings (All messages \ Mentions and replies
only \ Do not display notifications). In 12.04, the indicator turned
blue only on messages I wanted to know about (mentions and replies), but
in 12.10, it's blue no matter what setting I choose. The only thing that
"helps" is killing the gwibber service. I'm not sure if this is the
desired behavior and "notifications" refer only to the pop up bubbles,
but it makes the indicator useless because twitter updates ALL the time.
