  Improve Gwibber compatibility with MATE

Bug description:
  Hi,

  I installed MATE for Ubuntu and I noticed that it is impossible to
  change the default background of the messages in Gwibber. As a result,
  it keeps GNOME default theme and black text on dark background is
  barely noticeable.
