Gwibber supports SSL connection? China's GFW is more advanced than Iran's
filtering system.

All available IPs of Twitter are blocked here in China, we can't connect to
Twitter even if we use SSL connection.

Twitter API Proxy is more than a proxy, you can visit
http://code.google.com/p/twip or http://code.google.com/p/tweetr for more
information.

You can host Twip on your own hosting, and use it as your own Twitter API
proxy.
