and then a question to submit the full bugreport. So here I am......

Turns out that when re-creating the source images (they were converted
to JPG with a really low quality setting), I had forgotten to rotate
them by 90 degrees. So all this blabla (and hugin claiming I found a
bug), is caused by an image-size mismatch....

The error message should reflect this: "Image unexpectedly changed
dimensions. "
