Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: Fix Released

Bug description:
Hugin 0.8.0.3966 built by Ad Huikeshoven (although the error also occurs in builds 3811 and 3943)
I prepare my panorama (just two images). I add a few control points to those already present. Tell Hugin to NOT do any exposure compensation. Set Stereographic projection (although the error occurs with other projections too). Set some cropping (using the Fast GL Preview). Set JPEG to 95% compression. Tell Hugin to Save project to batch. Then when I try to start the batch, immediately I get the error:

Error during stitching
Please report the complete text to the bug tracker on http://sf.net/projects/hugin.

However, there is NO complete text. The program never gets around to displaying the normal verbose processing window, the error really is immediate. I thought maybe my folder name was bad, so I copied the source files to a less "controversial" folder name (d:\Digital Camera Photos\temp), but still has the error. My source files are LX3 files taken in RAW and processed to JPEG using RawTherapee, they do have the symbol "=" in the file name, but I've previously done files with the equals symbol without problems. The stitch works fine if I use the out-of-camera JPEGs (of the same scene, since I shot RAW+JPEG), using essentially the same steps in Hugin.

At worst, I'm doing something bad, or not realising an 'unspoken' rule in Hugin. However, the error message is pretty meaningless. I'm not able to find a log file anywhere. Can someone point me to it? I can provide log files, PTO and MK files, and the source files themselves if they are useful
