Thank you very much for your help.  It is a memory problem.  I wonder if
Hugin will modify the software to run with virtual memory like most
applications so that a system without a large quantity of ram will be
able to run successfully, albeit rather slowly (lol).  ;-)

The log says "enblend: out of memory". I think you need to reduce the canvas size in the stitcher tab for enblend doesn't have enough RAM (only 2 GB on your system) for a panorama with 10454 x 5227 pixels. You could also try to stitch not all images in one go (temporarily deselect other images in the Fast Preview window).
