Hi,

I've tested it on an entirely different machine, but still on onieric.
the video card this time is an integrated intel one (rather that an
nvidia, which was the previous case). The same thing occurs  on this
machine as well. I've also built hugin from hg, on my previous machine,
and the problem still occurs.

Is there any way i can turn on some sort of debugging, and report the
output?

  images not visible in preview pane and CP tab

Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:
  New

Bug description:
  When opening the quick preview window, the area where the preview
  should appear (and the navigation globe on its left) are empty. The
  same is observed in the CP tab as well. The other image-related tabs
  show the images correctly, and so does the slow preview.

  It is also reproducible with 2011.2.0
