p.s. The widgets in the windows do not react to resizing of the window
itself. The only time the window content changes to refit the window
itself occurs when the status bar updates (or possibly other ui
changes). This would be connected to the problems as well

  images not visible in preview pane and CP tab

Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:
  New

Bug description:
  When opening the quick preview window, the area where the preview
  should appear (and the navigation globe on its left) are empty. The
  same is observed in the CP tab as well. The other image-related tabs
  show the images correctly, and so does the slow preview.

  It is also reproducible with 2011.2.0
