I tested it. It works. You need to press return or set the focus to an
other field, before the changes are propagated. So it works for all
numeric input field inside Hugin.

Bug description:
  2012.0.0.8644d58bc334 on Windows 7 64 bits

  At least in the Panini general projection, inputting numbers in the
  Cmpr, Tops or Bots input boxes does not change the matching sliders
  nor does it trigger any result in the preview image.
