[Bug 1059430] [NEW] Unable to Enfuse large Images from Nikon D800 via LR4

Public bug reported:

I am having problems with LR/Enfuse. This is new since upgrading my camera to a Nikon D800.

While in LR4.1, I select 9 bracketed RAW images and export to Enfuse in the normal way. The process sits for a long time and eventually times out with an error. (Log file attached). Using the same nine images, Photomatix 4.2.4 does the same merge in less than six minutes.

Taking this one step further, I also tried to blend 5 images (2 stops apart) , eventually after a very long wait, the process completed (I almost gave up waiting). Maybe there is a process memory limit stopping Enfuse from performing the blend? I know the D800 takes enormous RAW files at 35Mb and each TIFF will be larger than that during the LR export.

Hope the attached log file is helpful to you and if you require further information, please get in touch if you require further information. I very much hope you have a workable solution as I am a full time interior photographer and Enfuse is an important part of my workflow with the Nikon D800 an essential tool.

Thanks in advance,
Willie Ewan
