[Bug 1077824] [NEW] caught exception: bad allocation with 4+ TIFF files

The Align... feature of the Assistant does not work at all. This is the 2nd project with about 20 uncompressed TIFF files and Panorama Stitcher simply fails at the first step.
This is a Dual Xenon (8 core) with 20GB RAM. Tried a few things but nothing seems to work at all.
