This is probably a problem of the virus scanner which still scans the
project files when Hugin tries to save it again. Check the settings of
your virus scanner.

Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:

Bug description:
  After choosing images hugin is stuck trying to write output in temp no
  matter if i'm using the assistant or not.

  And it stops there... When I cancel, Hugin tries to show me a preview
  but crashes.

  I already tried to delete and reinstall hugin but the problem stays

  It used to work on my computer but not anymore without changing
  antivirus or firewall or anything related with huggin rights.
