Message #00307
use of VirtualGL to render graphics on hybrid laptop
Hello,
Last week I bought this nice Asus A52J laptop, not knowing the trouble
it would take to get the NVidia graphics to work on it, since it has
this fancy hybrid graphics. I have been strolling around the
mailing-list and read the 'plan of attack' by airlied. The greatest
hurdle seems to be the modifications Xorg would need, which made me
think: did anyone try to run this stuff on VirtualGL? Would this solve
part of the problem? This would need two X-servers running, sort of
using the one on the Nvidia card as a dubble buffer. Do you have any
ideas on this?
Cheers, Johan
