Some updates...
I compiled kernel 2.6.37 (on Slackware-current), and at first glance
it seems that vgaswitcheroo might work...
After booting it up i ended up having gray screen with stripes, and
after that it was stuck on completly white screen.
So first thing i tried was blacklisting i915 module, and then it
worked, and i got to X, but consoles were no longer working.
Here is relevant dmesg output after successful boot:
http://dev.slackverse.org/asus_n73jf/2.6.37.nouveau.intel.dmesg
Output of /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch:
0: :Pwr:0000:01:00.0
1:+:Pwr:0000:00:02.0
From what i can tell, intel card was selected, and i tried to echo
DDIS > switch, but i got this:
[ 45.780336] vga_switcheroo: client 1 refused switch
[ 45.780338] vga_switcheroo: setting delayed switch to client 1
[ 47.780356] vga_switcheroo: processing delayed switch to 1
Any ideas what to try next?
Best regards,
mario

I guess it is not realistic to expect vgaswitcheroo to work since
nouveau driver doesn't work with GT425 (yet?), but it would be
interesting to see integrated intel card disabled so that binary
nvidia driver could be loaded...
