hi,

I already had this with 11.3 drivers .. (is the one you tried ? I only found
this one on amd site -> no 11.4. If there is really a 11.4 version , can you
please give me the link ?)

on my system the error was due to bad symbolic link configured during
install :

ls -l /usr/lib/libGL*

should give you an idea (normally this must point to /usr/lib/fglrx/libGL...
not to /usr/lib/FGLrenaned....)

after changing this I manage to start X correctly
