Bumblebee 3.0 partly works with Ubuntu 10.10, 11.04, 11.10 on ACER Travelmate 8572G

Is anyone able to help?

The hybrid graphics - Intel/nVidia Geforce GT330M - on my ACER laptop
are not Optimus, but I have had partial success with Bumblebee 3.0 using
a VGA external monitor.

Using Ubuntu 10.10 it works well, mostly. The only problems I have are:
optirun glxspheres is slower than just glxspheres yet optirun glxgears
is much better than glxgears, and coming out of Suspend graphics running
with optirun show as random noise. Any app such as Firefox started with
optirun is fine coming back from Suspend but google-chrome
http://webglsamples.googlecode.com/hg/aquarium/aquarium.html from
Suspend works but is incompletely rendered.

I have just about given up on 11.04 and graphics. I might have to do
another clean install.

Ubuntu 11.10 with the Gnome Classic desktop is excellent except with
Suspend. With Bumblebee 3.0 installed the machine hangs with a blank
screen coming out of Suspend, optirun apps or not. Unity is the same.
I would like to use Ubuntu (probably 11.10) when on battery instead of
Windows 7, but the Suspend problem is preventing me.
