Title:
  invisible line feed in the middle of link has to be remove before link
  deletes

Bug description:
  if we have a line feed in the middle of the link it is required of the
  user to delete that specific line feed character which is invisible
  because it does not take up a space in the text.

  for example if this was the text of a link in node editor 
  "a
  b"

  place caret right of b and backspace
  place caret right of a and backspace.

  you won't see any text for this link anymore but in actual fact the
  text is still of length one because of the line feed character.

  im unsure if this should even be called a bug and whether i should
  check whether a link has only the line feed character left and just
  delete it when that happens.
