Hello Olivier,

can you please provide the log or console output when this happens. I
tried to reproduce (installed Quod Libet 2.3) and this all works for me.
Maybe the bug corresponded to Quod Libet and was fixed meanwhile?

  now playing doesn't display cover or text when there are accentued
  characters in artist's name

Bug description:
  Now Playing version 0.3.4.3
  I use Quodlibet on Ubunti 10.10.
  Now Playing works when I listen to, say, Sting, for instance. But not when I listen to "NHØP (Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen )" or to "Esbjörn Svensson Trio". But if I edit the tags and change Artist to "Esbjorn Svensson Trio" (so ö/o), then it works.
