Site Migrations and Build System Progress

Hello all,

We have cleaned up our documentation quite a bit as well as combined our old word press blog and wiki sites into a single location. Previously our wiki site was completely open for editing (with OpenID auth against LaunchPad), however due to spam we are now restricting access to only the CoreDev Team and other approved contributors. If you are interested in contributing to and helping maintain the content of this site, please send an email to coredev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx along with your LaunchPad ID and we will [maybe] add you. Please only request access if you plan on being an ongoing contributor and not just for a one time typo fix. If you find anything missing, broken links, or think something could be improved please don't hesitate to contact us!

We are also making strong progress on our build system, which we have dubbed as MonkeyFarm. Last week our code base was approved for Open Source licensing, and we have migrated our git repo to GitHub. Early next week we should be able to finalize the new infrastructure and have the software deployed and ready for use. Because we have been focussing on development, we haven't had much time to iron out the details of how to manage community packagers so it may be a bit shaky getting started, but we are getting there.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation for Jeremy Teale from Rackspace for all the hard work he did not only on the new theme but also in migrating content and and meticulously ensuring that nothing was missed in the shuffle. We are really stoked at the improvements he made for us.

As always, thank you for your support of the project! Feel free to checkout the updates at http://iuscommunity.org .
