[Bug 736304] Re: UPDATE REQUEST: nginx 0.8.54 is available upstream
Hello Chris,
After a little investigation I noticed EPEL currently has nginx 0.8:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/x86_64/repoview/nginx.html
Being that EPEL is already maintaining a 0.8 branch there should not be
a need for the IUS Community to duplicate this work.
Since EPEL is one of the requirements of IUS, all that is needed is to
install nginx from them using 'yum'
yum install nginx
It does however seem EPEL is one point behind upstream, EPEL has version
nginx-0.8.53 where as upstream has nginx-0.8.54. If you do require the
latest 0.8.54 release I would work with 'Jeremy Hinegardner' at EPEL to
increase his package's version.

Title:
UPDATE REQUEST: nginx 0.8.54 is available upstream
Status in IUS Community Project:
Invalid
Bug description:
The stable version of Nginx has gone to 0.8.54 and is available at
http://wiki.nginx.org/Install
REASON: The new stable version has a number of bug fixes. I've also
found the Substitutions Filter module
(http://wiki.nginx.org/NginxHttpSubsModule) to be exceptionally useful
with high performance reverse proxies. I recommend packaging it with
the distribution.
