Well the dependencies for http is coming from the line in the SPEC
listed below:

  http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ius-
coredev/ius/php53u/view/head:/SPECS/php53u.spec#L118

This is being required in the main php53u package , and since packages like php53u-fpm require
php53u the HTTP dep is being pulled in.

As you mentioned Apache is not started and in these cases the user can
go ahead and leave it that way.

Bug description:
  php53u depends on httpd-mmn, this is nice if you intend to always install apache but what about people that prefer an alternate web server (nginx, lighttpd, cherokee, etc)?
  Would it be possible to remove this dependency? I don't see any functional reason to have it but I may be wrong.
