It looks like php53u-mssql needs to have Requires: php53u-pdo since it
depends on it.

Installed php53u-mssql-5.3.20-1.ius.el5 without php53u-pdo:
# php -v
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules/pdo_dblib.so' - /usr/lib64/php/modules/pdo_dblib.so: undefined symbol: php_pdo_register_driver
